Who is inside Funassyi?

It is not too much to say that "Funassyi"(ふなっしー) is the most popular mascot in Japan now. For example, on the New Year's Eve in 2013, Funassyi appeared on year-end TV programs with high ratings, such as Red and White Singing Contest(紅白歌合戦) of NHK, "Downtown no Gaki no Tsukai ya Arahende!!"(ダウンタウンのガキの使いやあらへんで!!) of NTV.

Many Japanese is wondering who is inside Funassyi.

According to Internet gossip, the person inside Funassyi is the man who is a 38-year-old owner of an interior furnishings shop in Funabashi city(船橋市), Chiba prefecture(千葉県).

At the beginning of November 2013, "Josei-seven"(女性セブン), one of the leading woman's magazines in Japan, had a surprise interview with the man. He admitted he is the right person inside Funassyi.
